FRN the title is an acronym for the Federal Reserve Note, specifically the ONE dollar bill. The inspiration for the emblem containing the number one is from the top right corner of the one dollar bill and has been recreated as a sculptural relief, composed of .100" thick Aluminium sheet. cut and formed to the main element of this work. The background has raised lettering in green painted in my variation of Old-English lettering.
The work is about money and a persons relationship with money. A construct that represents value, but an entity which has its own energy in which a person interacts with and develops a relationship with. Much like a relationship with another person, it grow strong over time, or can be a relationship filled with abuse or mistrust.
