Quarantine 2020
A self portrait made during the first months of the Stay-at-home order in 2020
This piece is about an upheaval of society from the advancement of COVID-19. Finding the ability to cope with so many new changes along with an underlying threat of lost lives. Sorting through the turmoil of emotions in response to a new environment.
The uncertain happiness of the face with the piercing stare of the human eye question the congruence of the painted text.
Raises awareness and the questions: Can I do well with CHANGE? How will I decide to live with CHANGE? Can I embrace CHANGE?
This concept developed and produced during social distancing.
This work is an extension of my EYEBOX series, a study of the Conscience.
