This work is about connection, and disconnection. First the dark part: disconnection... how a person is moved to cause harm to young people in any setting especially schools. The common image of the crosswalk children depicted in signs we see most everyday. But when terror strikes the children seek shelter and forget about school work.
The Brighter side is the idea how in these situations connections between the children are made, illustrated in the work by at each point of their progression to the ground and a more safe position the children are in contact with each other. The falling books represent the shedding of our false selves and find connection to what is real.
